Every product a one-off.
Light boxes, channel letters, pylons: Bohn manufactures signage as one-offs - across 14 product categories and 13 workshop stations. Calculation and planning lived in Excel, job tickets on paper.
For the illuminated-signage manufacturer Bohn we are building Bohn-Hub: one system for inquiry, calculation, quote, production and installation - with tablet terminals on the shop floor and scheduling that calculates delivery dates itself.

When is a one-off finished that passes through CNC, metalwork, paint shop and assembly? Without a system: gut feeling. With full order books, gut feeling gets expensive.
Inquiry, mandatory-field clarification, template-based calculation, quote with online signature, order, production, final inspection, installation with photo documentation and iPad signature, invoice, post-costing: one continuous process in one system.
From 105 catalogued operations the system generates each order's workflow across the stations - with sequences, parallel steps, capacity limits and the holiday calendar. A delivery-date simulation calculates on demand when a new order can realistically be finished, without touching the calendar.
At every station workers start and finish operations on a tablet - login with staff number and PIN, big buttons, material usage and problems logged right on the device. Time tracking runs alongside, QR badge included, with automatic break logic.
Planned versus actual minutes, material target versus actual: post-costing shows per order where margin is made and where it evaporates - the basis for better calculations and the next expansion stage: AI-assisted order preparation is on the roadmap.
